Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa.
Your host will meet you at the arrivals lounge with a “GID Photo Safaris” sign along with your name printed on the board.
From the airport, you will depart to your 1st night’s accommodation on the Mpumalanga Highveld for a refreshing overnight rest, and to rid yourself of all the travel cobwebs accumulated.
Depart for to the Elephant Coast.
For the next seven days, we will explore the best that the Elephant Coast has to offer. We will travel in the comfort of a Toyota Land Cruiser for the best photographic experience.
Dependent on our location on the Elephant Coast each morning we will aim to move out of the camp early morning. We will explore both known, as well as lesser known watering holes watching out for wildlife and birds coming down for an early morning drink before the African heat warms the day up.
Not only will we seek out the Big 6 wildlife animals, but also the 150 odd species of mammals, 450 species of birds and 14 species of reptiles that call the Elephant Coast home. Typically a surprise awaits you around each corner to photograph and enjoy.
A picnic lunch will be prepared to allow us to continue appreciating the African bush surroundings once the fresh air stirs an appetite.
We will spend the nights in one of the Elephant Coast camps around a fire while dining and reliving the day’s adventure and working through the photographs of the day.
The purpose of the Elephant Coast Safaris is to focus on incredible wildlife and taking your photography to the next level while learning about Africa and its environment.
You will be guided throughout the Elephant Coast Safari by one of our guides that will enhance your knowledge and insights of not only nature but also local history and cultures.
Should you have any other specific requirements, you are welcome to ask your host for expert advice as this is a tailor-made safari.
We will depart from the Elephant Coast and make our way back to the Mpumalanga Highveld where we will have a relaxing afternoon and evening.
Following the last morning sunrise photo session and hearty brunch we will depart the Mpumalanga Highveld with a 2.5-hour journey to Johannesburg International Airport.
Please ensure your international flight’s dates are highlighted to your host.
